How can we help?

Answers to the common questions are below. If yours is not here, email us and a real person will reply.

Email us

admin@crowfriends.app

Tell us your phone model and what you were doing when it happened. A screenshot helps.

A crow needs help?

For a sick or injured bird, contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. In the US, Animal Help Now finds one near you. Please do not handle the bird.

Spotted a mistake?

If something in the guide looks wrong, tell us which page and what you know. We read every note and fix what is wrong.

Subscriptions and payment

How do I cancel my subscription?

iPhone: open Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, then Crow Friends, then Cancel Subscription.

Android: open the Google Play Store, tap your profile picture, tap Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Crow Friends, then Cancel.

Deleting the app does not cancel it. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

How do I get a refund?

Apple and Google handle all payments, so refunds are requested from them. On iPhone, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, open your order history in the Google Play Store and choose the purchase.

I got a new phone. Will my subscription come with me?

Yes. Sign in to the new phone with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy it, install Crow Friends, and your subscription is tied to that account.

Your crows and feeding log are a separate thing, see the next section.

Your crows and your data

How do I move my crows to a new phone?

Your crows, feedings and notes live on your phone, so move them with a backup file:

  1. On your old phone, open Crow Friends, tap Me, then Export and import, and save the backup file somewhere you can reach from the new phone, like your email or cloud drive.
  2. On the new phone, install Crow Friends, open the backup file and share it to the app, then tap Restore from a backup file on the welcome screen.
Do I need an account?

No. Crow Friends works without an account, and your data stays on your phone.

Can you recover my crows if I deleted the app?

We are sorry, we cannot. We never receive your crows, photos or notes, so the only copy is on your phone or in a backup file you made. That is why we suggest exporting a backup now and then.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone. To ask about anything we may hold, like a support email, write to admin@crowfriends.app. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Using the app

My feeding alarm did not go off.

Check that notifications are allowed for Crow Friends in your phone's settings, and that the alarm is switched on in the app under Me, then Feeding alarms. Focus or Do Not Disturb modes can also silence it.

I am going on a trip. Will I lose my streak?

No. Add your trip on the Log tab under Going away. Your alarms pause on the trip days and your streak stays safe.

The crows stopped coming. Did I do something wrong?

Probably not. Visits often drop in spring when crows are nesting, and patterns shift with the seasons, new food sources, or a hawk nearby. Keep your routine steady. The Learn tab in the app explains what crows are up to each month.
